    According to new calculations the Electoral Reform Society now deems Woking to be a marginal seat. We Liberal Democrats have always known it is, but is good to have confirmation from such a highly regarded body.

    According to Andy White, Research officer "An updated version of the dataset compiled this morning now has Woking as a marginal."

Unlike the other 2 main parties we rely almost exclusively on local people for funding and admin and other work. During an election there is always more we could do if we had extra bodies.     Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg today visited the maternity unit at Kingston Hospital with Miriam Gonzalez Durantez, where one of their sons was born.

    They then later met Liberal Democrat Candidate for Richmond Park Susan Kramer, Liberal Democrat Candidate for Kingston & Surbiton Edward Davey and campaigners from the Save Kingston Hospital group.

    On Monday night, Woking Liberal Democrats launched their General Election and Council election campaigns with a rally in Westfield. Here they formally adopted Rosie Sharpley as their candidate for MP on May 6.

    The rally was attended by over 60 people from across Woking and neighbouring villages. The guest speaker was Lord McNally, leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords.
