Tony Kremer has lived in the Borough since the 60s and in Horsell for over 40 years. Tony is a qualified accountant and worked as a management consultant in the telecoms business until retirement. He is well known across the village for bringing new life to the Residents' Association with the Jubilee celebrations in 2012 and the creation of the Second Thursday Club to keep the new-found spirit of community action going. He is still an active member of both groups.

Tony initiated a major programme of events planned for 2016 to celebrate the life and works of HG Wells, working with other volunteer residents and with great support from the Celebrate Woking team at the Council. He still chairs its coordinating committee. Tony chairs the Woking Association of Neighbourhood Watches (WAN), is the deputy chair of the Surrey group and participates actively at regional and national levels of one of the biggest volunteer groups in the country.

When his family was still young, Tony was the borough councillor for Mayford & Sutton, leading the Liberal Group and campaigning for what were then radical schemes for bottle banks and notifying neighbours about planning applications! After working in Europe for two years he came back to Horsell in 1992 and stood for Parliament for Walton and Weybridge - the year John Major took on Neil Kinnock.

Tony believes that Horsell's elected representatives should not all be from a single party since this is a mixed area with a strong history of support for liberal views. He plans to campaign to strengthen the voice of the village in the face of a growing dominance of Woking and the town centre in the way local government is run.
