Liam Lyons has served as a councillor for six years, representing Mount Hermon West.

During that time, he has achieved a number of things which have improved residents' lives, such as better accessibility to leisure and transport facilities for mobility-impaired residents. He also introduced initiatives which have saved Woking Borough Council thousands of pounds and cut their carbon footprint, ensuring council taxpayers get better value for money. Liam also highlighted and campaigned for better infrastructure, such as schools, GP surgeries and transport links to support increased housing development. In particular, Liam campaigned for more school places and represented residents when appealing against school places allocated many miles from Woking.

Liam continues to campaign for family housing over high-density development, and for affordable homes in particular.

Above all, Liam represents residents' views in a diverse range of concerns; he believes in "people first, politics second", and has a strong record of action in actually getting things done.

Liam works as a Headteacher of a secondary school in Surrey, and has lived in the Mount Hermon area of Woking for over twelve years.
