Mr Mohammad Shafique - Ur - Rehman is a local businessman. He is a family man with 6 children. Out of his 6 children, 2 have passed GCSE with flying colours and the rest are in different stages of their schooling. He has been a keen social worker for the last 18 years and is always at the forefront of community welfare programmes.

He is a part-time gardener and a concerned person about the environment and the green house effect on nature. He wants more percentage of your waste either domestic or industrial, to be recycled. He believes in greener communities. On the waste and recycling front, he wants more waste collecting points ideally on street level and at the household level. He wants to educate the community to dispose of waste more efficiently so that they make less of a negative impact on the environment. He wants all plastic bags to be replaced by paper bags.

As a father of 6 children at different level of education, he believes that every child should have a proper education. He is an advocate for the betterment of schools to enhance the educational capabilities of younger children. He believes that more funds should be made available to schools to invest in teacher training and the betterment of educational environments so that the next generation should have all the necessary tools to succeed in the practical world that waits them. As all of us live in a multi cultural society. Mr. Rehman believes that everyone should respect each other, and discrimination should not be tolerated at any level. He believes that schools can and should be the best instrument to propagate the concept of equality between all children living in the community.

On the transportation side he wants a better managed transport system that connects every nook and corner of the community and buses that run on cleaner fuel. He says that there should be a low rate of fare for children. He wants to extend the same to mothers with young children.
