Ian Johnson for Mount Hermon West

I have been delighted to represent Mount Hermon West for the last 14 years. I have been involved in a wide variety of local issues, whether arguing against inappropriate development or supporting community groups. One highlight has been my term as Mayor of Woking in 2005/6, which has given me an even broader knowledge of the aspirations and needs of Woking people. Residents want value for money for their council tax but are also concerned that vulnerable people are treated properly. My background in financial services and personal experience has helped me understand the value of our services and not just their cost. My fellow councillor Sue Smith and I work together as a strong team and I am determined to continue to work with her for the benefit of all our residents.
