Barnabas Shelbourne for Byfleet

Barnabas grew up in Guildford and moved to Woking in 2003. He now live in Byfleet with his wife, Hannah, and their baby son. He has worked as a schools relational youth worker for the Matrix Trust in Guildford and as a Connexions Personal Adviser to young people. Having gained a degree in Informal and Community Education, he is now a Youth Worker for the Royal Borough of Kingston, where he is responsible for running various youth projects. In his spare time he is also involved in his church, where he and his wife have been running activities for young people for about 5 years. He enjoys football, walking, DIY, reading and meeting people.

Barnabas says "I believe in working together as a community, supporting all age-groups and creating a pleasant environment to live in. I like the friendly local community and, with my experience, I feel sure that I can make a positive contribution to Byfleet as an elected councillor."
