Leading local Liberal Democrat Cllr Philip Goldenberg has welcomed the re-opening by South-West Trains of the Travel Centre at Woking station.

The Travel Centre will be open on weekdays between 0815 and 1500 hours.

Philip said: "I have long pressed South-West Trains to re-open this facility. Anybody who has gone to a ticket office to make a complicated advance train booking, with an angry queue of 20 people wanting to get on the next train, let alone with a couple of kids in tow, will share my delight."
