I am 37 years old and have lived in Goldsworth Park for the last 6 years with my wife, Amanda, and 8-year old son, Joshua. Joshua goes to Beaufort School locally. I am a primary school teacher in Woking.
I have served as your local councillor in Goldsworth West for the last 4 years. For the last two years, I served as the Shadow Spokesman for Housing campaigning on issues such as fighting excessive heating charges and fighting anti-social behaviour. I have also served on the council's economic regeneration task group actively working with officers to support local businesses and encourage job provision.
I have worked actively trying to improve our community such as reporting litter, vandalism damage, clearing of vegetation to Council officers and helping council tenants with housing issues. I have a passion for helping people who need it. This is what I have always done. I serve as a trade union representative and have fought on behalf of members regarding their future pension benefits.

As a teacher, I have also tried to instil civic responsibility and citizenship in my pupils. I ran the School Council and the pupils have learnt how to work for their school community in order to make the school a better place.
My vision for Woking has always been to make it a cleaner, greener and safer place to live and work in. I want to make the Woking Borough Council a more democratic body of regular consultation. I will be campaigning for neighbourhood forums to be set up across Woking again after the Tories dismantled this Lib Dem initiative two years ago. These forums should have a budget and meet at least once every two months in the communities such as Goldsworth Park. It will be a great opportunity for councillors to consult regularly with residents so that the council is never allowed to spend on projects we don't need again.
In my spare time, I enjoy cricket and football - watching it mostly! I also enjoy reading, watching films, the theatre and cycling. Please contact me about any local issues of concern. I will gladly try to help you any way I can.
