Ian Eastwood has been a tireless campaigner and Councillor in Goldsworth Park for 21 years and has achieved so much for local residents. Whether it's dealing with fly tipping, working with fellow local councillors to get new rubbish bins or organising the maintenance of overgrown vegetation, Ian is always ready to drop what he is doing and go and help residents in need of assistance.
Ian is now retired. He worked as a Materials Co-ordinator for an engineering company in Chertsey for over 40 years. He has been married to Pauline for 42 years, has 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Ian has also been a School Governor at Beaufort School for the last 23 years and a Governor at Winston Churchill School for 2 years. He has been a Committee member for the Goldsworth Park Community Association at Goldwater Lodge for several years. He is Vice President of the Woking Athletic Club and the Goldsworth Park Rangers Football Club. Ian supports numerous charity events including work for the Woking Lions and Woking Hospice car draws. He has been a proud member of the Woking Football Club for many years.
Recently on the Council, Ian helped save the Council over £6 million by leading the outsourcing of leisure services management to Greenwich Leisure Ltd for a ten-year contract
