Liberal Democrat votes increased by 17% in Woking at the General Election

Anne Lee said that the Liberal Democrat votes increased by 17% in Woking at the General Election. She praised her team for delivering a result which went against the grain of a national swing to the Conservatives.
She added: "our General Election vote is now double that of Labour in Woking. This just proves what we have been saying all along: that a vote for Labour in Woking is a wasted vote."
She said "I am delighted that we have held Knaphill, they have an outstanding County Councillor in Diana Smith, and for John Doran to be elected as the next County Councillor for Horsell was a triumph. It shows that people recognise that Liberal Democrats will consult properly with residents on issues affecting them."
