WOKING LIBERAL DEMOCRATS WELCOME CLIMATE CHANGE PROGRESS

'Woking's work on Climate Change must be internationally recognised' said Anne Lee when she answered questions at a Question Time session recently.
After the conference she added 'the departure of Allan Jones to work for the Mayor of London is both a triumph and a loss for Woking. It was Liberal Democrats who called for an environmental audit over ten years ago, and we must pay tribute to politicians of all parties who have supported this ground breaking work ever since'.
Anne also praised the latest environmental initiative to cut down light pollution which has been spearheaded by Cllr Ken Howard.
Anne represented Woking at a Question Time panel 'run in a David Dimbleby style' by Baroness Margaret Sharp.

25th January 1990 Liberal Democrat Cllr Rosemary Johnson proposed an Environmental Audit to Woking Borough Council and this was the start of Woking's environmental progress.
